(Times may change due to Covid-19)
Lunchtime is from 12.00pm to 1pm for reception and infants and from 12.30pm to 1.30pm for juniors.
You must decide at the beginning of each half term if you wish your child to have school meals or bring a packed lunch. It is not possible to change from one to another except at this time.
Children eating packed lunches share the dining room facilities. Packed lunches should consist mainly of sandwiches, with some fruit and perhaps a biscuit, yoghurt and crisps. For health and safety reasons packed lunches must not contain sweets, nuts, chocolate, fizzy drinks or glass bottles.
Please ensure packed lunch boxes are labelled clearly with your child’s name and class.

Please note that due to current circumstances the dinner options may change. Jacket Potatoes will be offered as a vegetarian option.
Children with allergies or special diet requirements are provided with a special diet menu. For more information contact the school office.
Our school meals are provided by Chartwells. All of the food is prepared daily in the school kitchens. Only free range eggs and farm assured meat are used. To find out more information about Chartwells and school dinners click here.
The current price of school meals is £2.30 per day, which should be paid via our online payment system Parentpay. All payments for school meals are expected to be paid on time. Failure to keep dinner money payments up to date will result in your child losing their option to have a school dinner.
Free and Universal Free School Meals
The government is funding schools in England to provide every child in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 with a free nutritious meal at lunch time (Universal Free School Meals). However, meals for children Years 3-6 are charged at £2.30 per child per day.
If you have received any of the following benefits either now, or during the last 6 years:
- Income Support,
- Income Based Job Seeker’s Allowance,
- Child Tax Credit and Annual Income of less than £16,190.
it is vital that you apply for free school meals, even if your child does not require them, or, your child is entitled to a government funded lunch. This allows the school to claim extra grant from the Government which provides more help to the children.
